Q. Can you provide free quotations?
Yes I can, but I am able to give you a good idea of the number of hours a job will take over the phone. Occasionally a job may take longer (or less time) than anticipated but we will always make you aware if this is the case.  For larger projects I am able to offer a cost effective full day rate, please see our pricing page for details.

Q. What are your trading hours?
Generally from 9am through to 5pm. However I am committed to providing a service and will work out of these hours subject to a small increase in the rate that we charge, please see our pricing page for details.

Q. What if you are unable to fix my job?
In the unlikely event that I am unable to help you, I will provide you with contact details for one of our trade partners to carry out the work. When using Mr Toolbag don’t forget my “No fix, no fee!” promise. 

Q. What if I am unhappy with the quality of the work that you have completed?
Your satisfaction is a priority to me, therefore if you are not completely happy I will correct it free of charge. Customer satisfaction is absolutely key, therefore as a local business Mr Toolbag depends on reputation and word of mouth.

Q. Are you insured?
Yes, I am covered by £1m public liability insurance which provides cover for accidental damage in your home.


Q. What areas to you cover?
Mr Toolbag operates within all CV postcodes. Based in Leamington Spa and covering Coventry, Warwick, Kenilworth, Stratford upon Avon, Rugby, Southam, Nuneaton & Bedworth. 

Q. What type of work do you carry out?
Pretty much all handyman jobs, everything from putting up pictures and curtains, to fitting a kitchen or bathroom. Please see the list of handyman jobs on this website, but it is not exhaustive, if you can't see what you need on the list, please ask.

Q. How much do you charge?
My standard hourly charge is just £35 for the first hour and £12.50 for each subsequent 30 minutes or part thereafter (excludes Nuneaton & Bedworth which is subject to a 2 hour minimum charge). In addition to this a small charge is made for stock materials used i.e. screws & wall plugs plus any associated parking charges. Please see our pricing page for details.

Q. Do I have to provide the materials?
No, I am happy to source materials for you, but we will make a charge for the time that it takes for us to do this.

Q. When can you come?
I normally book jobs within 7 days but if you need to expedite yours please tell us!

Q. How can I pay you?
I accept payment by either cash or credit/debit card. Unfortunately I no longer accept cheques as a payment method. Limited companies may wish to pay on invoice which can be arranged subject to credit terms being agreed.

Q. Are you VAT registered?
No, Mr Toolbag is a sole trader and operates under the VAT threshold!

Q. Do you give fixed appointment times?
I try to, however some jobs take longer or less time than expected but rest assured I wont expect you to sit around waiting all day!


Q. Do you take away waste materials and packaging?
No, unfortunately as a contractor, disposal of waste is chargeable and expensive, however if you are unable to do this yourself I would of course organise this for you at an additional cost.
